Good water as building materials

Water is a very important basic material in the manufacture of building materials construction with reinforced concrete structures.

In concrete construction, water needed to react with the cement so it can be an adhesive between fine aggregate (sand), coarse aggregate (gravel) as well as other concrete mix materials

Whereas in the steel construction, water is used as a dessert ingredient of steel profile kotorran arising during storage and distribution of steel.

In the manufacture of concrete construction must be used well water so it can create strong concrete and durable.





Water is good for reinforced concrete mix should be national standards compliant Indonesia
(SK-SNI - S - 04-1989 - F) is as follows:

* Water must be clean
* May not contain the mud more than 2 grams / liter.
* Does not contain oil sludge and other applied objects that can be seen visually.
* Does not contain salts that can damage the concrete (organic acids) more
* From 15 grams / liter.
* Not mengadung sulfate compound for more than 1 gram / liter.
* Does not contain chloride (cl) more than 0.5 grams / liter.

Water used should be of the type of fresh water because salt water / sea water has a high salt content so that it can cause rusting of reinforcing steel and concrete construction is not optimal because the election has the power of water is wrong at the time of execution.

thus a strong building construction started from a selection of good water as building materials.
